Copper Bonded Earth Electrodes
Copper-bonded earth electrodes combine the mechanical strength of a low-carbon steel core with the corrosion resistance and conductivity of a molecularly bonded electrolytic copper layer. The thick copper coating prevents the copper from peeling during driving, ensuring decades of stable, low-resistance contact with the soil. They are the workhorse electrode for most industrial and commercial earthing systems, offering an excellent balance of performance, longevity and cost. Joinable sections with threaded brass couplers let installers reach deep, moist soil strata for consistently low earth resistance.
